Summary

Hello! I am currently in college, finishing in this Spring with a degree in General Studies. With this degree, I hope to use the wide range of subjects that I have been open to learning to pursue a job in the event planning/coordinating field. I value organizational leadership as well as having a good time while getting things done. I have been trained in and worked a lot of different areas and plan to take something from each field to advance me in my endeavors. I love people and strive to be adaptable, flexible, resourceful, creative, and organized within everything I work at.

Work History

Weekend Team

Beckon Events
Greenville, SC
06.2021 - Current
  • At Beckon Events, I worked wedding days to help set up and help coordinate clients wedding days.
  • I arrive hours before the ceremony to help set up, make sure all the ordered items were at the location and in place, make sure chairs are set neatly as they are supposed to be, help with making sure everyone was on time according to the timeline, etc.
  • My boss is very particular about how she wants things and I value and appreciate how she strives for perfection in everything she creates and works at, which is instilled in me as well.
  • When I am setting up a ceremony space or reception space, I strive for it to be exactly how the client wants it and more.
  • This also is to be done in tandem with making sure the bride and groom are having their best day ever.

  • I babysat kids from ages 1 to 14.
  • I worked with a bunch of different families, ranging from a few times a week to once a week, whenever they needed me.
  • I would drop off and pick them up from school, make their lunch and dinner, take them to do fun things, put them to bed, etc.
  • I worked with a few different families over that time, but most of them I was with for an extended amount of time.
  • As of recently, I have been with a family for almost year.

Cheer Coach

FIERCE Cheer
Orlando, Florida
08.2019 - 03.2020
  • I worked as a cheer coach 4 times a week for 2 hours a day.
  • I would teach the girls many different cheers, chants, and routines that they would perform at parades and even at an NBA game! I was in charge of about 10-20 elementary girls and boys each time, but it was always fun! We would let them have some free time for a game and make sure we got to their parents on time.
  • I had to prepare my own cheers and chants to teach them before we saw them each time, learn the cheers they wants us to teach for the parades, games, and events, and make sure they learned these cheers enough to practice on their own.

Kid's Ministry Coordinator

Change Church
Orlando, Florida
08.2019 - 03.2020
  • I worked at this church as an assistant kid’s ministry coordinator every Saturday evening.
  • I would help set up each week for the service, which included a bounce house, game room, snack table, projector screen, and game tables. We had a pre-planned lesson to teach the kid's and thought of creative activities to get them involved with the lesson.
  • We would welcome the 20+ kids in and allow them to have some free time before we started.
  • We would share with them a Bible lesson each week and play a fun game to get them engaged
  • We would even have a guest come in and teach them a fun craft or activity every once in a while! Then, their parents would come pick them up and we would tear down everything that we set up.

Internship

  • Under the leadership of the Youth Pastor, I helped curate and run events for the youth in our church.
  • Every Wednesday night, we would set up for youth group, providing them with games, food, and music.
  • We also did a Friday night event every month for the youth to come together and have a time of worship and fellowship among other teenagers. These events required a lot of planning and preparation because we wanted it to be different from past events.
  • I would go out and gather supplies to create a vision board for my ideas and ponder from there. This process usually started months in advance.
  • Every Sunday morning, I would arrive to our church location, a middle school, and set up hours before church started. This included moving tables to place games in the cafeteria, setting up computer systems, TV's, lights, and sound systems.
