During my employment history, I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of students including but not limited to children with autism, emotional disorders, intellectual disabilities, and specific learning disabilities. I also had the opportunity to oversee not only children in Resource Support settings but also in Mild/Moderate Special Day Class settings. In many of these cases, I was able to work closely with the parents, teachers and staff associated with these children. Additionally, I was trained during the 2016- 2017 school year through the California Autism Professional Training and Information Network. Furthermore, when completing my Masters degree program, I enrolled in, and completed an additional component of the training that is voluntary and have received a certificate in School Based Mental Health. With this additional certificate, I believe that I have been an asset to my school districts as my training has enhanced my ability to work closely with other staff on cases where my expertise has been utilized. This has also assisted me to conduct several educationally related mental health services (ERMHS) assessment for two different school districts. In conjunction with this, I have also been able to provide the ERMHS services when students have been found eligible. I am currently working towards receiving my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology through California Southern University to continue furthering my skill set within the areas of behavior and emotional disturbance. On my resume you will note that I have several years of working with students and children of all ages, both in professional and in volunteer settings. With this knowledge and background, I will be able to bring real world experience to the classes I teach in addition to what the current literature discusses on the subjects. I look forward to hearing from you.
