- Performing visual functions and diagnostic tests such as: Autorefracting, Topography, Pentacam, OCT (retinal/macula imaging/nerve health/damage) OPTOS, Applanation, Pachymetry, tonometry, refracting, Visual Fields.

- Utilizing/ operating tools and machines listed as above to obtain results/diagnosis

- Obtaining reliable information from the Patient to rely back to Doctor regarding visual acuity or other visual changes.

- Instilling eye drops to obtain information and prepare Patient for doctors portion of exam. (Proparacaine, Tropicamide/Phenylephrine/ Cyclopentolate)

- Accessing/treating/ billing/ finalizing Patient's charts under doctors name.

- Ensuring full exam is accurate and updated in Patient's chart with today's findings/diagnosis.

- Prescribing and sending prescriptions to Patient's pharmacies.

- Explaining how to properly use eye drops and/or other medications.

- Relay exam results to Primary Care Physician of Patient.

- Filling out surgery orders/ working with surgical counselor

-Assisting with minor procedures that include but are not limited to: Removing Foreign Body from eye, removing sutures from eye, assisting in Laser procedures etc.

- Ordering MRI/CT scans for Patient through doctors orders.

-Creating a comfortable environment for Patient's ensuring all of their needs are met with a respectful, positive manner.
