Julia Schantz

I am currently an undergraduate Kinesiology student on the Pre-Medical track at Michigan State University. I am a State-Tested Nurse Assistant (STNA) in Ohio, with over 100 hours of hands-on patient care experience, and more than 200 hours of volunteer service. My strengths lie in patient care and critical thinking, which I aim to further develop as I pursue a career in the medical field.

• In high school, I served as the social media manager for the student council's social media platforms and as a representative in student government. I planned and organized a six-hour lock-in fundraiser, participated in the Leadership Academy, and contributed to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Additionally, I was the captain of my travel soccer team for four years and co-founded a non-profit organization focused on mental health. I graduated with a 3.9 GPA and was a member of the National Honors Society.
• I am the Co-Founder and Vice President of the Michigan State Be Nice Club, a student-led organization dedicated to promoting kindness and raising mental health awareness on campus. We host monthly meetings featuring activities and workshops that engage members and encourage a supportive campus community.
• I am an active member of Kappa Alpha Theta and currently serve as our Greek Week Chair. In this role, I lead our chapter of over 200 women in collaboration with three other Greek chapters to compete in university-wide events that support the Boys and Girls Club and Haven House in East Lansing. I coordinated over 10 philanthropy events—partnering with organizations such as the Red Cross—and helped raise over $27,000 in just two weeks.
