  • Autism Training 2 year grant through ADE (Arizona Department of Education)
  • This grant taught me how to communicate and work with behaviors that children on the Autism Spectrum exhibit.
  • Acquired great knowledge about applied behavioral analysis, sensory diets, triggers, antecedents, and visual supports to name a few, which all support children on the Autism Spectrum.
  • Provided behavioral and academic supports for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Specific Learning Disabilities, Bi-Polar, Emotional Disorders, Downs Syndrome, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and Attention Deficit Disorders.  
  • During my six years, I created and lead three different Professional Developments for staff, parents and the school district on Autism Spectrum Disorders.
  • Communicating with the teachers, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, and parents on a consistent basis, sharing and receiving strategies for success.
  • Writing Individual Education Plans for 30 (different) students, Functional Behavioral Assessment's, Behavioral Implementation Plan's, behavior contracts, 504 plans and incentive programs.
  • Pep Rally for AIMS - 5 years, Character Counts (strong advocate for this).
  • Participate in Literacy Night, Fall Festival, Talent shows (for my ASD students), Math and Science Night.
  • Created strategies and interventions to meet the needs of the students.
  • Provided one-on-one attention to students, while maintaining focus on the other 15 students in the class.
