I am a Clinical Psychology major graduating in May 2026. I have had an internship experience with Strong Star, a clinical research facility that focuses on psychological interventions for the military. I am experienced in data entry, reviewing consent forms, learning different research methods, and shadowing baselines and follow-ups with participants. I am passionate about achieving a Counseling Psychology Ph.D. and becoming a Sports Psychologist to help athletes advance their mental health and performance.
Strong Star is a clinical research facility located on the military base at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas. It's primary focus is to conduct multiple research projects that aim to find effective interventions to improve psychological health of military, veterans, and first responders. I would shadow and do data entry for different projects, but mostly project MARCH.

I have been responsible for teaching fundamental volleyball skills, rules, and teamwork to campers of varying skill levels in a fun and supportive environment. You will plan and lead daily drills, scrimmages, and activities that promote physical fitness, sportsmanship, and personal growth. The role also involves ensuring camper safety, fostering a positive team atmosphere, and collaborating with camp staff to support overall camp programming.
During my winter and summer breaks from school, I work as a substitute at my local elementary and middle schools,. I love supporting teachers during busy periods. I enjoy building strong connections with students and contributing to a positive classroom environment.
Shadowed Dr. Heather Twedell at FIRST's annual 3-Day Peer Support & Wellness Summit (First Responder Integrated Support & Training). Observed specialized training and wellness strategies focused on mental health support for law enforcement, fire, EMS, and dispatch personnel. Gained insight into trauma-informed care, peer support models, and holistic approaches to first responder wellness.
