As a human resources intern, I had multiple responsibilities. I was responsible for all new hire orientations, creating appointments, and ensuring all onboarding documents were correct. I also did talent acquisition and sourced out potential candidates in all 50 states for many different construction roles.
Innovation Learning is a STEM-based after-school care program based out of Colorado. I was assigned to Lisa Academy West Elementary location in Little Rock. I worked with children aged kindergarten through fifth grade. Our program consisted of a curriculum that not only catered to the children's educational needs but also fostered motor and communication skills as well. As a lead teacher, I was assigned a group of children, and I conducted a curriculum based on the age of the children and their needs.
The North Little Rock Athletic Club contracted an after-school care program with Lisa Academy from August 2020 to November 2021. My duties were to have an assigned group of children based on age. I organized different tasks, crafts, and games for my group each day based on what the children were learning during school hours. I also facilitated after-school care pick-up for the school after the contract was no longer standing.
