An Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in New Jersey provided life-saving medical care at the scene of an emergency and during patient transport to medical facilities. I was charged with assessing patients, administering basic life support (BLS) interventions, and working alongside other emergency services personnel to ensure timely and effective medical care.

I effectively and safely responded to emergency medical incidents, including accidents, medical emergencies, and disasters. I
operated emergency vehicles in a safe and efficient manner while adhering to all state and local laws.

I adhered to all local, state, and federal protocols, including those outlined by the New Jersey Department of Health (DOH) and the New Jersey Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS).I maintained up-to-date certifications in CPR, and EMT licensure as required by state regulations. While doing such I responded to multiple 911 calls for help and was charged with navigating various emergency situations to its logical conclusion.

I was charged as acting as the first point of contact for individuals in distress.

• Quickly and calmly answering incoming calls, including emergency (911) and non-emergency lines.
• I gathered crucial information, such as the nature of the emergency, location, caller identity, and details while remaining calm and professional, even under stressful and emotionally charged circumstances.
• I am making quick decisions to deploy resources effectively while following protocol and judgment.
• I coordinated with police, fire, and medical personnel and dispatching them to the location of the incident.
• I provided responders with essential details, including the situation, location, and any specific hazards or instructions.
• I am proficient in the CAD system and maintained an up to date understanding and proficiency in EAGENT as well as the NCIC and CJIS codes and procedures,
• I am often called upon to navigate and aide others in understanding EAGENT.
