My job as the Admission & Marketing Director included recruiting residents for a skilled nursing facility. My daily activities included morning conference calls with other admissions directors and the regional team. We would go over the facility census and the marketing goals set for the day. Each admissions director was in charge of setting up the marketing plan for the week. The marketing plan included a plan, purpose, and a goal. As the marketing director, I traveled to local and surrounding hospitals, doctors offices, assisted living or senior centers and community events. While I was at these establishments I would educate the doctors and staff about the services the facility provided. I would also coordinate and provide training for the staff and administration. The trainings would include upcoming changes made by Medicare and Medicaid. I would also hold in-service where I would talk about certain health related topics such as diabetes, Alzheimer's, and dementia. I would help coordinate and hold community events either at the facility or in the community. The goal was to provide excellent customer services. Another role as the admission director included monthly audits on each residents personal file to insure accuracy.
