Personal Statement

I believe we go into nursing because of a desire to help people. Helping people over the years has changed from just the day in day out of giving medications and doing physical assessments. Nursing, for me, is more about health promotion of the patient and other staff members. Patients and staff deserve innovative and evidence-based practices. Nurses have the power to improve patient care and improve patient outcomes through lifelong learning. I am a team player, driven, and self-motivated. I am a good listener and communicator. I am known for my compassion, patience, and calm demeanor. I am reliable and a top performer on my unit. I value continued education and constantly strive for improvement. A culture of learning builds excellence.
