Work History

  • Cut, thread, and run all the conduit on substation transformer tanks.
  • Measure how long our wires need to be, pull/cut them to length, and run them through the conduit.
  • Wire in control panels, breathers, drives, LTCs, MPRDs, gauges, fan boxes/fans, CT wells, and any other wiring that needs done on the tank.
  • Making sure the correct gauge wire and terminals are being used, as well as the correct hand crimper for insulated and non-insulated terminals.

I used to work in our assembly department, building the inside of the transformers. This meant connecting and crimping all the copper cables, "yoking" in steel for the top of the job, building the PA systems, building reactors, and building bolted cores. I also specialized in dropping coils onto the job, from little ones to huge.
