Responsible for surgical scrubbing and assisting surgeons with surgical procedures. Ensure that all surgical supplies, equipment, and instruments are sterile and available for surgical procedures. Set up an operating room and open sterile supplies, devices, and sterile surgical instruments utilizing sterile technique. Preformed surgical hand scrub, and put on sterile surgical gown and gloves. Provide surgical assistance and anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical teams while practicing aseptic techniques and infection control. assist with surgical patient care before, during, and after the surgical procedure. Prepare post -surgery surgical instruments to be transported to the sterile processing department . Turn over the operating room or preform terminal cleaning. I worked under the supervision of a Surgeon and Surgical First Assist.
