Detailed Background
To start off with my origins, I come from a Haitian Household. My father served in the army and has had many jobs however most primarily is known for as a teacher. My mother immigrated here and became a nurse. I went to Colonial Drive Elementary and was doing virtual school for middle school and partially for high school. Afterwards I transferred to Dade Prep Academy, where I got my high school diploma. One might assume that I'm following the path of a nurse however I'm not strictly going for it. While I have been inspired by my mother, I just want to serve in the medical field to help people and I see that nursing and in general, the medical field is just one of the many paths I can take to help better the world. In a similar vain to how my JiuJitsu mentor operated, what made him a good or rather a great mentor was how while it was his job to teach me, he went far beyond to help me feel welcomed and to be a figure I can both look up to and be friendly with. When I was too embarrassed to ask my brother or parents for advice I looked towards him and I feel that in any job, whether that be a job where you interact with customers daily or one where you're isolated with coworkers. I feel that the human connection is what we all need whether be in our daily lives or in our work life, and while I may be inexperienced socially I wish to improve and share the joy and emotions with others and make friends.
