I have an extensive athletic background. I played both racquetball and baseball at an extremely high level of competitiveness. I attended the United States Olympic Training Center in 1993 for racquetball where I was projected to represent the United States in the 2000 Olympics had racquetball become an approved sport. I won numerous State and Regional Championships for racquetball as well as the Junior World Championship in 1995. I was a two-time CY Young award winner for the most prestigious travel baseball team in the northeast, the Bayside Yankees. My Bayside Yankees team won 4 National Amateur Baseball Federation (NABF) Championships during my four years of play. I played varsity baseball as a sophomore for one of the best Catholic High Schools in NYC, St. Francis Preparatory. I was captain of my team during my senior year. I received a full athletic/academic scholarship to several colleges before ultimately deciding to go to division 1 Iona College where I played for all four years with many great players who were drafted by MLB, one of which was 2011 St. Louis Cardinals World Series closing pitcher, Jason Motte. I was captain of my team during my senior year. I was also a pitching instructor, racquetball instructor and certified personal trainer during my high school and college years. I know the hard work and dedication it takes to be the very best at something; I have instilled those values in my son and daughter who are outstanding student-athletes. I look forward to instilling those same values in the student-athletes at your school.
