Tower Control Operator and Relief Operator
24 Years 10 Months- Tower Control Operator is responsible for monitoring the processes used in the manufacturing of Phosphorus Pentasulfide and guaranteeing that customer specifications are met by communicating with the laboratory and making changes as needed to the PLC system to keep material in spec. The Tower Control Operator is also responsible for monitoring the sites safety and security systems and communicating with relevant personnel any safety or security issues. The Tower Control Operator directs the site's Safety Brigade Team during off hours and weekends until management arrives.
- Relief operator is required to be able to perform the four different operating positions at the facility. They are Tower Control Operator, Pack Out/Bulk Loading Operator, Warehouse Operator, and Tower Field Operator. The Tower Field Operator is responsible for monitoring all of the equipment in the field such as pumps, screw conveyors, P2S5 cooling units, steam lines, storage tanks, nitrogen and carbon dioxide tanks, safety shower and eye wash lines, and the waste gas scrubber system. The Tower Field Operator is also responsible for unloading bulk sulfur cars and loading of scrubber waste and hazardous waste trucks. The Tower Field Operator is also part of the Safety Brigade Team.
