Dual role where I served as both the clinical leader for the nursing team and as an administrative leader for each campus.

Led the nursing department and was responsible for ensure high quality patient care. Collaborated with the leadership team to develop new initiatives for the hospital, and streamline operations.

• Responsible for the successful operation of the three LTACHs in Victoria, and two outpatient clinics that were housed inside the North location
• Achievements include maximizing revenue per patient day, increasing MCC and CC capture rate, decreasing long stays, implementing cost reduction strategy, decreasing agency spend, restructuring leadership, improving employee morale and retention, rolling out disease specific certification program, standardizing OP wound care processes, increasing volume and productivity, focusing on payor mix, maintaining active patients, and developing the outpatient infusion center.

• Overseeing all nursing operations for a long-term acute care hospital and a hybrid long-term acute care hospital/acute inpatient rehab
• Achievements include implementing self-scheduling, designing Excel schedule, implementing incentive program, piloting clinical ladder, converting daily line-up to electronic, decreasing agency cost, launching in-house dialysis, and maintaining stable nursing hours and cost.

• Managed 50+ employees and oversaw the care of over 80 residents
• Achievements include improving quality metrics, increasing Google rating, serving as an expert panelist, leading the facility to profit, converting nursing staff to 12-hour shifts, and implementing process improvement initiatives.

• Performed various administrative duties including house supervisor, educator, director of quality, and director of case management
• Achievements include maintaining hours per patient day, staff scheduling, staff evaluations, coaching/disciplinary action, process improvement, new staff orientation, interviewing, coordinating and teaching staff in-services, participating in hospital committees, updating and reviewing clinical protocols and policies, managing hospital resources, conducting RCAs, and annual contract reviews.

• Joined as a staff nurse and later became the nurse manager
• Also worked as a consultant overseeing all nursing operations
• Accomplishments include implementing medication tech training, achieving zero deficiency survey, instituting genetic testing, modifying menu, and receiving multiple recognitions.
