Supply & Logistics Specialist

  • Coordinate Intl ocean & air inbound shipments to maximize productivity, prevent production delays at WHP's US plants and maintain an organized WHP supply chain from origin to final destination.
  • Collaborate closely with Intl transportation team to resolve ocean space issues, establish new ocean lanes for new/existing suppliers, adjust ocean volume depending on business needs & discuss forecasting discrepancies.
  • Oversee daily activities with ocean carriers, WHp suppliers & Whirlpool's 3PL to ensure all parties are complying to WHP's terms of service.
  • Actively participate in QBRs, MBRs, plant production meetings, financial planning & carrier finance reviews.
  • Utilize my analytical knowledge(pivot tables, vlookup, excel skills) to identify issues, determine solutions and implement improved results.
  • Monitor inbound freight operations to establish timely delivery of containers and execute expedites on needed basis.
  • Communicate daily with a wide range of process partners, including ocean carriers, 3PLs, over 150 WHP suppliers, procurement teams, planners at all 10 US plants, VMIs, warehouses, air carriers, NVOs & finance teams.
  • Utilize my CI skills to develop and implement new logistics policies and procedures to provide roadmap for daily operations.
  • Authorize the approval, record keeping and payment of all international non-standard charges(storage, expedites, pre-pull etc.)
  • Established valuable leadership skills by training & educating new employees. Trainees include co-workers and direct & indirect process partners.
  • Work closely with NAR Compliance team to resolve custom clearance issues, custom holds and problems that arise with US CBP.
  • Responsible for reviewing, investigating and approving IBO invoices in CASS. Work with a dozen carriers to keep SOAs current, while also analyzing all IBO accessorials.
