I am a product of the East County of San Diego. I graduated from Valhalla High School in 1987. I then attended Grossmont Community College and completed my General Education. I then transferred to the University of Southern California and graduated with a degree in Business Administration in 1991. I then attended the University of San Diego School of Law and graduated 1995. While in law school, I clerked for four years for Blanchard, Krasner, & French in La Jolla which is a business transactional law firm. They specialized in business formation, initial public offerings, tax law, corporate governance, etc. My duties involved meeting with clients to discuss tax and business issues, researching applicable laws as they dealt with client issues, conducting offers in compromise to the IRS and various state tax agencies on behalf of clients, preparing various documents for IPOs, etc.
For the last twenty four years I have taught at Valhalla High School. I have taught Economics, American Government, U.S. History, and AP Government.
