Accomplishments

I'm an IHSA certified coach with 21 years of coaching experience.

As a head coach with the jr. high football program, I had a record of 47-7, including 2 undefeated seasons.

Because I have been on the coaching staff at Herrin High School for the past 5 years, I will have an established relationship with our current players. This relationship will be an asset since the players trust and respect me. Trust and respect are earned. If the players don't trust and respect their coach, the team will not be successful. They also have an understanding of the level of accountability I will hold them to.

I have a number of coaches who I've coached with in the past who have agreed to be on my staff. I believe that the key to success is start with coaches who have a certain job and letting them do that job. I have told all of them that I may have the title of Head Coach, but we will be a coaching staff. I will listen to their suggestions and we will all work together to give the team its best chance at success.
