I am my license tattoo artist and work very part-time at Soul Meets Body tattoo. The owner allows me to come in and work when I do book an appointment.
My primary duties at Milford Police Department are answering 911 phone calls, nonemergency, phone calls for information or help, and dispatching the officers to their calls. Providing them with all the necessary information for emergencies, looking up criminal history, and criminal database information, and anything else to assist the officers on the road to keep them safe and aware of what is happening. This consists of negotiating with criminals over the phone, answering dangerous calls, and helping the victims stay safe until the officers arrive, etc. I sometimes dispatch for the Milford fire department as well, answering 911 medical calls, providing on the dot instructions for keeping patient safe until paramedics arrive, and assisting the firefighters with any information they need for medical and fire emergencies. Of course, dispatching the fire and medic trucks to all of their goals and keeping track of their locations.
This was a seasonal job, I did for the summer of 2017 while working as a PCA still for Gregory Smith. This job consisted of guarding the main entrance of the campground resort, checking in customers, allowing vehicles through and checking passes for visitors.
In the army National Guard, I was trained in military police corrections. The technical name is internment/resettlement specialist. Along with my three years of training in the field of corrections and detainee operations, I have spent a few weeks at Fort Leavenworth disciplinary barracks, working alongside the full-time soldiers who work at that prison. I have a certificate of completing their academy to work in that position, along with my certification to be a corrections officer for the US Army.
The primary duties of this position consisted of taking care of all of Gregory Smith’s daily needs. Those needs included cooking, cleaning, exercise, routines, mobility, assistance, transportation, physical care, etc. Gregory Smith was my employer through the Allied community resources program. Gregory was an individual with Cerebral Palsy.
