• Aided with the operation and maintenance of 50 ton vessels
• Facilitated transportation of customers to and from Fire Island
• Engaged in nautical activities with the vessels such as fueling, engine maintenance, docking and undocking, cleaning, and loading and unloading cargo
• Assisted in navigation, including reading GPS and learning the buoys associated with the Great South Bay
• Trained for drills such as man overboard and fire on board
• Learned skills such as customer service, analytical and quick thinking, navigation, teamwork and collaboration, passenger safety, and maintenance tasks
• Worked with a crew of 1 captain and 3 deckhands total
• Transitioned to a Water Taxi Deckhand in 2022, completing the same tasks with 1-2 ton water taxis

-Monitor access of students to various residence halls on campus using ID verification, as well as sign-in and out guests brought by the residents
-Act as a role model, policy enforcer, resource provider, customer servant, and community builder for the residents
