• National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration NOAA Fisheries Observer, 2023, Observer Training to become a certified North Pacific observer consists of a comprehensive three-week program held in Massachusetts. The curriculum includes safety while at sea, sampling methodologies, species identification, and data documentation requirements.
• AIS Inc Specialized Gear: Protected Species Observer, 2024, AIS has provided PSO support on various projects including offshore wind development for companies like Deepwater Wind, Mayflower Wind (now Southcoast Wind), Vineyard Wind, Equinor and Orsted as well as oil & gas exploration and development for companies like Shell and BP. In this training we learned about the importance of PSOs, PSO duties and tools of the trade, species identification, mitigation measures and many more relevant topics.
• AIS, Inc Avian Survey, 2024, This training propose a methodology to conduct bird surveys during the breeding and non-breeding season which takes a precautionary approach to quantifying bird behavior. The scope of this method is designed to capture the full diversity of species using a given survey area, and provide an evidence base to inform the assessment of impacts and any additional specific surveys where necessary.
