I currently work as a systems mechanic, checking run times in the morning to ensure stations are running properly. We pull pumps, de-rag them, assess them for damage and to make sure they operating efficiently and effectively. We do electrical diagnoses on panels and minor wiring jobs. We also replace/repair check valves and gate valves. There are times we have to use the GIS system to search for valves and direction of flow in times of emergency and to get the system flowing in the most efficient way.

As a heavy equipment operator I ran a Jetvac truck to clean lift stations. Me and my partner would hook up tubes to clean lift stations in order to keep our wastewater system working efficiently and effectively. Prior to Toho merging with the City of Saint Cloud we maintained sewer mains and customer clean outs. We used to route sewer mains to prevent blockages or other possible problems relating to the sewer system.

At this job I ran heavy equipment to move material made from a crusher. I also sold material that we had stored at the yard and loaded vehicles with the loader.

I read water meters and recorded readings of water consumption on a computer. Reported meters that needed to be repaired or replaced. I reported unusual circumstances and monitored for meter tampering. I identified and reported unauthorized connections. While performing my duties I answered inquires and complaints from customers. I also turned off/on water service.

Met with customers to provide estimates for home repairs and guide them to make the best selections for tasks to be performed. Painted interior and exteriors of buildings, pool decks, etc. Utilized paint sprayers, air tools, hand tools, and scaffolding. Repaired damaged dry wall and textured walls preparing surfaces for painting. Framed and completed construction of various structures. Installed corrugated metal roofing and gutters. Installed pavers for sidewalks for entry ways. Repaired underground plumbing for irrigation and repaired low voltage wiring for sprinkler systems. Supervised employees as well as working independently without supervision. Work with many sub contractors, coordinating job priorities to make the job run efficiently. Prepared invoices and collected payment from customers upon completion of work.
