Performs the various duties related to receiving, registering, and servicing Army Lodge guests. Operates the EPITOME System and be responsible for all cash disbursements and receipts. Takes reservation requests and confirms reservations by telephone or in person using computer terminal and associated electronic equipment. Logs reservations for incoming guests based on room availability. Interviews incoming guests to determine their status in order to assign appropriate quarters. Assists clientele in the completion of required forms and registration cards. Computes charges for guests checking out, processes bills, receives payments and room keys; renders receipts. Maintains control over keys used throughout the Army Lodge. Responsible for inventories and security of, controlled documents and forms, accounts for funds received, credits and prepares credit card receipts. Orients guests concerning the use of facilities and equipment. Answers questions pertaining to rules and regulations governing the assignment and use of quarters.
On a daily basis, receives change fund and operates a cash register scanning system, which records unit prices in proper amounts and accounts (i.e., grocery, meat, produce, and other selective items). Individually inputs item codes and/or prices when items do not properly scan. Totals purchases and collects, validates, and processes payment including cash, checks, debit and credit card transactions, electronic benefits transfer transactions, and coupons. Makes correct change and/or provides cash back to the customer depending on the nature of the payment transaction. Responds courteously to patron questions concerning order processing and item costs. At the end of the shift, turns in cash and negotiable instruments in accordance with store policy. Change register tape, clear routine equipment and scanning jams on registers, including Self Check Out (SCO). Bags items, hands out flyers and/or coupons and assists patrons in the correct processing of their orders. Manages the self check out registers assisting customers in the correct processing of their purchases. Provides instructions on proper operation of the equipment and resolves problems, which may occur. Performed the day-to-day operation of the CIF in accordance with governing regulations, directives, published guides and local policies. Performed issues, receives turn-ins, and conducts direct exchange transactions of OCIE with supported customers using the Installation Support Module (ISM) automated property book system which identifies customers scheduled to receive/turn-in OCIE. Calculates OCIE requirements based on the number of scheduled individuals, Military Occupational Specialty (MOS), unit of assignment, and deployment status; requests OCIE from the central warehouse as needed to meet those requirements. Incumbent insures procedures as outlined in pertinent SOPs are complied with to include classification and disposition of equipment, establishment of due-out issue procedures, and determinations of damage through fault/neglect or fair wear and tear. Conducted scheduled and special inventories and, as needed, investigates inventory discrepancies and prepares and submits adjustment documents. Determined space requirements for new or additional mission needs and performs re-warehousing as required. Ensures supplies and equipment are properly handled, stored and maintained. Maintained an automated property book and associated documentation including voucher files, hand receipts, and document registers. Posts receipts, issues, adjustment documents, lateral transfers, and hand receipt transactions to the property book. Routine maintenance of the property book consists of extracting pertinent information from standard supply documents, change notices, procurement documents, and verification of accuracy of stock identification, quantity, cost, and other data. Reviewed request justifications from serviced units for property not on hand and recommends actions to the property book officer for additions, deletions, or changes as required. Coordinated with units for bulk issues of OCIE when push packages or a new equipment fielding occurs.
