I have been working with children 3-5 years of age for the past 31 years I began as an assistant before receiving a CDA in 2006 I became a lead Pre-K teacher in 2007 I created lesson plans, carried out my lesson plans with the help of my assistants, attended workshops and family events, and communicated with the parents of my students each day I also spoke in more detail with each parent concerning their child's progress during parent/ teacher meetings twice a year In 2023 I chose to take a step back and became a teacher assistant once again I applied and was hired by Sayreville board of education to work as a paraprofessional in a special needs classroom While I worked for Sayreville I began working for Kidzland Childcare (which is also part of Sayreville public schools) a few days a week in the afternoons During the summer I worked at Kidzland full time
