Jazz training, Geo-Politics, Bartending, and Art History

Along with an orchestral (oboe) background, I have devoted extensive time and training to jazz studies and improvised music, under the instruction of Ron Miles, Wayne Horvitz, and Justin Adams, and Matthew Schildt. I have applied this training into the direction of independent jazz ensembles, and incorporated the historical and pedagogical connections into a variety of instructional mediums.

I split my free time studying the intersection between geo-political world history, and how things like art, music, food/beverage, social customs, and other aspects of the human experience rise and fall in the tides of human history, and what conditions exist to canonize some traditions while leaving others to be lost to time.
