Scholarships
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national examination on the comprehensive understanding of the candidates in various undergraduate subjects in Engineering / Technology / Architecture and post-graduate level subjects in Arts, Commerce, and Science.
Dr. Susan Rockwood (who was a professor in the Department of Microbiology from 1962 through 1983), her friends, and former students established a scholarship for promising women graduate students in Microbiology. The money awarded is to be used toward research endeavors in a manner that the recipient alone chooses.
To encourage graduate students to develop critical thinking skills as well as generate new knowledge through their research and advance the frontiers of knowledge in microbiology

Grants
The DUOS program bridges the gap between graduate and undergraduate research at Miami University. The undergraduate student and graduate student pair will work together on a research project under the supervision of a faculty member in a Ph.D. granting department. I received this award with the undergraduate research assistant, Sarah Soppe.

Mentee Awards
Undergraduate Summer Scholars 9-week program focused on studentcentered learning through mentored research. Students are responsible for finding an eligible mentor, co-creating the independent research project, and submitting a completed USS application to the department chair or program director of the student's USS mentor. I mentored the following 3 undergraduate students who received the USS grant:
