After graduating Dunwoody in 2016, I became an apprentice in the Duluth area Electrical Local 242. Upon starting at Parsons, I immediately went to work on Kwik Trip gas stations from underground to trim out for nearly 14 months. The Local 242 Apprenticeship Program forces a mandatory rotation of employers which landed me at Hunt Electric. Here, I spent 14 months at the Superior high school installing the newest lighting automations for classrooms. After this project was completed they relocated me to Husky Gas Refinery to clean up and trace circuits damaged after the explosion. Soon after working at the refinery for about a month I was rotated to Holden Electric out of Two Harbors, MN. Here I spent the remainder of my 5 year apprenticeship working with the service van crew sharpening my skills and learning the code more in depth with every job. Eventually Passing my MN and WI Journeyman's Exam with an 85% for Minnesota and 76% for Wisconsin landing me a position to run my own van for work. Soon after getting in the van my wife and I decided to move back home to Walker,MN where I continue to operate out of a service van taking on work for Holden North of Nisswa as far North to Bemidji and East to Remer.
