Managed and Worked in Prairies across the metro area in places like housing developments, business parks and the capitol. This was a very manual labor focused job that mainly involved removing and adding plants/trees to the prairies, making new prairies, as well as construct landscaping. I worked as a self contractor so i learned how work efficiently, manage time, problem solve and other essential skills all without oversight. I also learned how to lead a team to complete tasks.
Three Leaf Services was a successful landscaping business that i did while i was with the Prairie Management position. I started it when i was 14 and got to the point where i could hire out crews to do jobs. I learned a countless amount of life skills/experience at this business. Not only did i learn great people skills because i have to manage clients/employees. But i learned what it takes to make a business run smoothly.
Here i did indoor construction involving lots of trim work things like casing, basing and shoe. Here i worked with a crew where i learned how to work in a team fast and efficiently to get multiple tasks done fast. I also learned great communication and collaborative skills. This job taught me how to take constructive criticism very well as more experienced tradesmen would critic my work.
