Kaden Peterson

• In my relatively short time at the University of Utah, I learned and was the taught the skills of a medical assistant
• Everything from charting patient records to drawing blood in an outpatient clinical setting
• Now I am looking forward to performing emergency care to patient in critical condition, as was my aim getting into medicine.

• As a current provider and educator at this daycare, my responsibilities include supervision of children under my care, teaching lessons, feeding kids at the appropriate times based off of the schedule, and talking with parents about coordinating better care for their kids’ special needs

• Clearfield, Syracuse, Over the course of 6 months, I was given the opportunity to go four ride-alongs, totaling 34 hours of being on duty with the stationed firefighters and paramedics
• The calls that I got to be a part of were invaluble in furthering my understanding of the medical field and how to apply mere concepts into tangible and beneficial action.
