Kaden Vance

Hello Shepherd ISD, I am writing to express my interest in a coaching position at Shepherd football Program. With a strong background in kinesiology, multi-sport athletic experience, and hands on coaching and youth mentorship, I am eager to contribute to Sheperd’s mission of developing student athletes both on and off the field. I am currently completing my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Sam Houston State University, where I have developed a solid foundation in movement science, performance training, and athlete development. My academic training, combined with real world leadership experience, has prepared me to effectively support athletes in skill development, injury prevention, and overall performance enhancement. My experience working with youth spans coaching, mentoring, and leadership roles. As an Assistant Coach and Defensive Coordinator for CMSA Liberty, I worked closely with boy's flag football teams, providing clear instruction, designing defensive back drills, and adapting coaching strategies to different learning styles. This role strengthened my ability to communicate effectively, build trust with athletes, and create a structured yet motivating environment that promotes confidence and accountability. In addition, my time as a staff member at Lakeview Methodist Center allowed me to mentor middle school students in a leadership focused, team-oriented setting. I supervised daily activities, facilitated group discussions, and ensured a safe, inclusive environment of skills that translate directly to athlete supervision and development within a high-performance academy. My work experience at Steamery Inc. has further reinforced my discipline, attention to safety, teamwork, and ability to perform in fast-paced environments. Beyond coaching, my leadership role as Vice Noble Ruler of Activities for Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity helped me develop strong organizational, communication, and mentoring skills. I planned large-scale events, collaborated with diverse groups, and consistently participated in community service, all of which strengthened my ability to lead with integrity and professionalism. I am highly motivated, dependable, and passionate about athlete development.
