In scouting, I have been a part of the National Youth Leadership Training staff. I have worked with senior staff, as well as junior staff. As a staff member, we are responsible for recruiting, planning, and executing a week-long program designed to teach scouting youth leadership and problem resolution. The first few years, I was a member of the logistics team. We supported the physical set up events, helped maintain camp and camper gear, and provided the rest of the team support when needed. Many times, we have to respond to emergencies to help keep the program on track. This past year, I was given the opportunity to lead the group. The NYLT sessions are always well received and have been a great learning experience.
