Energetic and dedicated individual who has gained recognition within the Walt Disney Company. Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills and can manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Known for reliability, efficiency, and positivity when interacting with guests and coworkers alike.
I am currently a cast member in Walt Disney World as part of the Disney College Program, and I make magic at select quick service dining locations in Hollywood Studios' Galaxy's Edge. As a cast member, it is my responsibility to uphold the Disney legacy, abide by the company's Five Keys (safety, courtesy, inclusion, show, and efficiency), and immerse guests in the storytelling of Galaxy's Edge. At Oga's Cantina, one of my work locations, my role includes greeting guests, managing reservations, and seating parties. I also work at the Milk Stand and the Coco-Cola vending carts, where I am responsible for taking orders, preparing milk mixtures, and maintaining a clean, show-ready environment. Additionally, I am an updater and a trainer, which are two roles that require leader-approval and specialized training. As an updater, I assign checked-in parties to their spots inside the Cantina and ensure that the guests are seated in a timely manner. As a trainer, it is my job to train new cast members in our location and certify that they meet company standards.
I worked as an entry-level barista at my campus's Starbucks. My job included taking orders, working the cast register, preparing and warming food, crafting beverages, and maintaining a clean café environment. My job was often fast-paced and required me to work closely with my colleagues, while still finding time to have authentic customer interactions.
While I was enrolled in Bryn Mawr College, I worked two days per week in Erdman Dining Hall. As a flexible student worker, my tasks varied, but they included serving food at the hot line, restocking the breakfast and salad bars, cleaning surfaces in the kitchen and dining halls during meal, and answering any questions that student customers may have.
I worked as a student intern during my free periods in both semesters of my senior year. In the first semester, I worked in the cafeteria, where my tasks included sweeping, cleaning dishes and surfaces, washing rice, assembling lunch orders, baking cookies, and mixing sauces. I then worked in the school office in the second semester, and my responsibilities were to collect and deliver mail, deliver messages, notices and lost-and-found items to students across campus, and complete any miscellaneous tasks that the office employees needed assistance with.
I have earned the Girl Scout Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards, with Gold being the highest award that a scout can receive. For my Gold Award project, I partnered with a local elementary school to create a Wellness Space in their library. The space I designed and built was intended to serve as a third place for students, where they could go if they needed to decompress and step away from the hectic school environment. The Wellness Space included individual alcoves with beanbag chairs, as well as posters with information on breathing techniques and mindfulness practices. I conceptualized, planned, designed, and led the project myself, meeting the minimum 80-hour requirement and completing the space before the end of my senior year.
