letter of recommendation

To Whom It May Concern,

I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Kaitlin Staheli, who served as a long term substitute teacher during the absence of one of my technicians. I have had the pleasure of working with Kaitlin in the capacity of a substitute for a behavior unit, and I can confidently say that she is one of the most capable, reliable, and compassionate individuals I have had the privilege of working with.

Kaitlin was an exceptional asset to my classroom, demonstrating a unique ability to connect with students who have diverse needs and challenging behaviors. From the moment she entered the room, she exhibited a natural rapport with the students, which is not always easy to establish in a behavior-focused classroom. Her calm demeanor, patience, and understanding allowed her to build trust with the students quickly, even in the absence of a detailed orientation. She was intuitive about their needs and proactive in her approach, creating an environment where students felt respected and engaged.

What impressed me most about Kaitlin was her ability to jump into the classroom routine without needing much direction. She came prepared, took initiative, and managed the class with a level of confidence and competence that far exceeded expectations for a substitute. She was always proactive in implementing behavior management strategies, handling disruptions with tact, and maintaining a positive classroom environment. This skill is particularly important in a behavior unit, where maintaining consistency and structure is critical to student success.

Kaitlin's work ethic is impeccable. She was always on time, prepared, and willing to go above and beyond in any situation. Wether it was helping students with individual work, de- escalating a challenging situation, or simply keeping students on task, she was always present, engaged, and ready to help. Her reliability and professionalism allowed me to focus on other aspects of my work, knowing that my students were in capable hands.

In summary, Kaitlin Staheli is a highly skilled and dependable individual who made a significant positive impact in my classroom. Her ability to connect with students, her initiative, and her reliability are qualities that make her an exceptional candidate for any teaching or educational support positions. I wholeheartedly recommend her without reservation and believe she would be an asset to any team or classroom she joins.
