Kaitlyn McMahon

I work as a resident monitor in a reentry facility. The requirements of the facility make it so I maintain professional boundaries and rules within the facility that is dedicated to serving people who are progressing toward reentering society from federal prison/ incarceration. I aid in job placement, vehicle and home obtainment, and the daily needs of residents who live within the facility such as counseling and giving professional advice. In addition to these job duties, I also maintain daily cleaning and sanitizing around the facility. In addition I also have been trained to do home checks off site and work site checks as well. I taught journaling classes in the facility to those who required the class.

During my time at homestead I assisted with ADL's. My job was to interacted with families and residents on a daily bases. I assisted with passing medication and coordinated resident care with the nurse. Being an aide also followed written and verbal instruction on how to provide medication.

Working at Brookestone Gardens I was able to help with recruitment as well as employee engagement and benefit enrollment. I reviewed all Human Resources paperwork for any errors. I taught all of the classes for orientation an continuing education. Being part of the leadership team was also apart of my job. I was on call for emergencies and anything that was HR related, for example any Employee getting hurt. In addition I am able to identify a well written resume as well as what employers are looking for when it comes to hiring. I am familiar with the staffing agencies in town and have worked with them. I am sufficient at interviewing.
