During the classes, we discussed in detail these basic concepts based on available literature and online tools:

1. Basics about the immune system and cancer biology,

2. The interplay between the immune system and cancer cells and how it contributes to tumor development and metastasis,

3. Available Current Immunotherapies, and

4. A roadmap for the next decade in cancer research and future perspectives.

We also constructively reviewed the literature to understand the rationale behind the research done and to identify the gaps in the available data. The program included weekly reports based on selected readings as assignments and a final project, in which students reviewed the most recent cancer immunotherapies and found advancements in research and technology that could contribute to improving the cancer immunotherapy field.

• During the internship, the student followed the attending doctor around the ward and helped the attending doctor to record and convey information; observed the process of issuing and implementing medical orders by attending doctors and learn more about the daily work of doctors; observed the patient's condition in the ward to further understand the doctor's work; participated in lectures organized by wards and hospitals to learn and understand various medical knowledge.
