
Compassionate Patient Care Technician (PCT) and Certified Nursing Assistant with hospital experience providing direct patient care in a telemetry unit. • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses on a telemetry unit (5th floor).
• Float to ICU and Medical-Surgical units to support patient care and assist the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Obtain and document vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, height, and weight.
• Perform 12-lead ECG/EKG testing and cardiac monitoring support.
• Perform point-of-care testing including blood glucose monitoring.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, feeding, and toileting.
• Perform hourly rounding in collaboration with the nursing team to support patient safety, comfort, and timely care.
• Assist with patient ambulation, repositioning, and safe transfers.
• Monitor and document intake and output.
• Respond promptly to patient call lights and assist with patient needs.
• Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transport to procedures.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team.
• Assist with oxygen therapy setup including nasal cannula placement and monitoring patient oxygen saturation as directed by the nursing team.
• Provide Foley catheter care and perineal hygiene while maintaining infection control standards.
• Assist with urinary catheter management and monitoring urine output.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation of patient care, vital signs, and observations while following infection control and safety protocols.
