Responsibilities:

• Installation, configuration and up-gradation of SQL Servers from stand-alone to MS Azure Cloud
• Configuring and administration of Always On Availability group on MS Azure Cloud
• Experience in performing the migrations from ORACLE to SQL Paas
• Handling various build and migration projects and ensure timely delivery to operation completing all necessary UAT and SAT testing
• Implementation of Backup strategies to ensure point in time recovery of databases
• Implementation of maintenance plan and jobs for Always on Group database jobs to ensure synchronization between active and passive nodes
• Successful knowledge transition of various clients and providing Operation support for the same
• Effective Capacity management using Database and Backup Compression.
• Configured native Event alerts and Performance alerts with mail notification
• Implemented automated alerts using Database Mail.
• Created VB scripts to take reports and automation of mail alerts.
• Scheduling database maintenance jobs for regular health checks of databases.
• Rebuilding and reorganizing indexes periodically by checking the fragmentation level.
• Updating statistics on a regular basis to ensure good performance
