  • Gained employment as a laborer and worked my way through various positions via OJT and vocational programs while taking college courses for a more traditional form of education.
  • Trained through the company to run multiple pieces of equipment used in the construction and maintenance of substations and transmission lines. (Skid steers, trenchers, excavators, digger derricks, forklifts, bucket trucks, boom lifts, tuggers, tensioners, etc.)
  • Achieved multiple certifications for safety related practices to include: 10 and 30 hour OSHA, Arch flash, confined spaces, signaling and rigging, elevated rescue, AED and first aid training. Also, a history of first responder/ emergency medical technician certification
  • Directly involved in the testing and commissioning of transmission level generation sites with GE, BEPC, &FP&L systems that include circuit limiting protection, HMI systems, protection relays of various applications, sourcing for instrumentation, and circuit energization.
