  • As a server at J. Alexander's, I provide a fine dining experience with exceptional attention to detail. From the very first interaction with the guest, my role is to provide a "polished" dining experience. This includes informing the guest of daily specials, offering extensive food & beverage knowledge/recommendations, and providing several course specific steps of service. Anticipating the guests' needs is second nature, and this style of service is meant to leave the guest never "wanting for more." The table is always kept perfectly manicured, in terms of bussing, setting, and crumbing. All steps of service are performed and maintained to the highest standard, to ensure a perfect dining experience every time.

  • As a Server & Designated Trainer at The Cheesecake Factory, my responsibilities included providing exceptional guest service, along with providing a 'tour guide' type of experience with our 250+ item menu. From the very first 'greet' to the finishing dessert presentation, I strived to provide a top notch experience that included promptness of service, answering any and all guest questions, and going above and beyond to provide the type of personalized guest service that is expected of a 5 star dining experience.
  • My duties also included acting as a Shift Supervisor most nights, which involved coaching teammates on opportunities for improvement, making sure that everything in our dining room was held to a high standard in terms of service, cleanliness and professionalism, and being responsible for overseeing my teammates' sidework at the end of the night when they checked out. I took pride in leading by example, and always performed my work to the highest of 'Cheesecake Factory Standards,' and expected a high standard from my teammates as well.
  • As a Designated Trainer, I was also responsible for training new hires, providing them with knowledge of our extensive menu and service, and offering feedback that would prepare them for any challenges they might face when they complete training. I took pride in knowing that through my observation and application of the skillset that I acquired through Cheesecake Factory, that I was able to set my new peers up for continued success and growth within the company.
