• Ensure quality care of the patients
• Ensure adherence to admission, transfer and discharge process
• Plan nursing care and make patients assignment as per need.
• Assists in direct care of patient as and when required. Extends help to the team members for prompt & smooth functioning of the department to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.
• Ensure safety & hygiene of environment and patients in designated area.
• Ensure proper nursing assessments of patients are done and necessary information is reported to the concerned department.
• Periodic supervision of case files and ensures documents are properly maintained.
• Responsible for periodical inventorying and maintaining stock.
• Maintain crash cart and Narcotics and check expiry of drugs.
• Arrange adequate sterile supplies required for the unit.
• Make round with doctors and ensure instructions are carried out timely.
• Coordinate with various departments and maintain healthy interpersonal relationship
• Provide incidental teaching to patients, attendants, staff nurses and other domestic staff.
• Regularly motivate and counsel staff nurses for efficient nursing care.
• Collect and submit monthly nursing compliance report for the respective department.
• Act as Liason between administration and subordinates.
