Kamala Armour

I am a dedicated educator with 25 years of experience in Lauderdale County. I held a position in the general education classroom for twenty-two years, while my last three years have been in special education and intervention. As a long term educator, I am adept in providing diverse instructional strategies needed to meet the variety of learning needs that ensure learning and progress for our students. Skilled in classroom management, lesson planning, parent-communication, documentation, use of data, and adaptive to diverse educational needs within any and all classroom environments whether it be general education, inclusive, co-teaching, or small group/ intervention. I am experienced with curriculum development, ensuring that required standards are administered with a wide range of teaching methods to address different learning styles within every student and every classroom. My years of experience provide strategies to target intervention, behavior, and academic needs while also providing effective communication and problem-solving skills to provide a positive outcome not only for the student, but the parent, teacher, and staff.
