San Francisco City College- Awarded Custodian Certificate
In September 2017, I took the custodial training class offered at the San Francisco City College, where I successfully completed the course and was awarded my certificate of completion on December 22, 2017. I learned so much about different custodial equipment, and how to properly utilize, clean and maintain the various equipment,( floor machines. stripping, buffing, mopping vacuuming, deep cleaning carpet, learning the appropriate cleaning tools and chemical for various floor types, learning how to effectively clean bathrooms, learning how to appropriately read, mix, and use various types of chemical for various surfaces..ect.).
My instructor's were so informative, knowledgeable and good, that I was compelled to take another custodial training class called "Custodial For Healthcare Training". Throughout the class, I was afforded the opportunity to do a clinical internship at the San Francisco General Hospital, where I learned the details of how to effectively clean and address bloodborne pathogens, and various other diseases. I learned the importance of universal precaution, I learned how to appropriately and effectively clean a hospital bedroom / bathroom while patient occupied. We learned how to appropriately clean contact rooms, operating rooms that were saturated with a lot of blood and other contaminants, emergency rooms. I learned how to process bio-material waste products. We learned how to mix the appropriate cleaning chemicals to utilize for various surfaces throughout the hospital and more. I had a great experience, and learned a lot. I successfully completed this course and was awarded my second custodial training certificate in "Custodial For Healthcare Training".
I was well prepared by my San Francisco City College instructor's, so that I firmly attribute my number one status on the civil service exam to the instructor's that learned me well.
