Electrical Engineering Course Projects

08.2014 - 08.2021

Electrical design

  • Developing Stove-top heat sensor using PIC-16 controller, infrared sensor and temperature sensor connected through I2-C using MP-LAB X software.

Power Systems

  • Developed most common line - commutated converter circuits using Lucas Nulle digital trainer.
  • Created simulation of four-quadrant converters that are used in industry as actuators for DC motors.

Micro-controllers

  • Created 2 -player game using PIC-18 micro-controller and digital potentiometers to output multiple LEDS when player A's potentiometer was turned faster than Player B. First player to output all LEDS was declared winner. Alternate LED would flash to indicate winner.

Power Electronics

  • Use of electrical power system analysis software called electrical transient analyzer program (E-TAP) to carry out power flow analysis as well as gain familiarity with power aspects. Utilized power flow analysis to set up system upgrading plan to accommodate increased load in system.
  • Used Simulink through MAT-LAB to demonstrate Sinusoidal Pulse width Modulation (SP-WM) of uni-polar and bipolar models with and without filters for simulations.

Electronics

  • Technical Drawing
  • Utilization of Auto-CAD and Auto-desk Inventor to apply basic part modeling techniques to create drawings and models typical of those used in manufacturing industry.
