Student Research Intern
Selected as one of 30 students out of 485 applications (6.2% acceptance rate) for a cancer research training program (researcHStart) that provides intensive lab experience and professional development for aspiring scientists. One of 7 students conducting mentored research in a biomedical lab through the Comprehensive Cancer Center at UChicago Medicine (Knapp Center for Biomedical Discovery). Helped coordinate a Family Night in July 2025 (150+ attendees) where families explored molecular biology, cancer, and cancer advocacy. Contributed to weekly seminars on scientific communication, ethics, college and career preparation, and health equity. Presented research findings at the 11th anniversary University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center programs symposium alongside peers and mentors from University of Chicago, University of Illinois Chicago, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Rush University, and Northwestern University at the 10th anniversary researcHStart symposium.
