I joined West Biofuels on October 1, 2021, and I am currently working as an Electrical Manager. I managed to complete all the activities related to electrical work on the job site. My roles and responsibilities as an Electrical Manager is:

• To plan, coordinate, and oversee construction projects to meet electrical design, schedules, and financial goals.
• To ensures effective communication with our contractors and subcontractors, schedules their activities on time, works with them on-site directly, and completes all the phases from start to commissioning to ensure the facility and system are ready for commercial operation.
• To oversee milestones, handle changes, resolve issues, and manage budgets with deep knowledge of construction processes and industry standards.
• Design and build MCCs and control panels as per requirements.
• To review control system schematics and architectures, including developing and specifying requirements related to the electrical design system.
• To troubleshoot issues that arise during component or system testing, and to support major cold and hot commissioning/operations.
• To provide regular reporting of progress and status.
• To follow and enforce all safety procedures.
• To correct and update electrical and civil drawings using AutoCAD as per needed.
• To operate a forklift, scissor lift, and other material-handling equipment.
• To support electrical purchasing, shipping, receiving, or related tasks as assigned.

My Roles and Responsibilities as Field E&I Engineer:

• Review and Inspection of all Electrical Material, prior to Installation.
• Verify the equipment and devices used in the project meets the required specifications per project requirements, standard and tested in accordance with the procedures.
• Preparation and approval of the inspection and test plan, construction quality procedure, and method of statement.
• Review and inspection of all incoming electrical material, prior to installation.
• Responsible for the overall implementation of quality control related to electrical works in accordance with project specifications and engineering standards.
• Verify the equipment and devices used in the project meets the required specifications per project requirement, standard and tested in accordance with the procedures.
• Inspection of Electrical installation panels monitoring control pan el wiring, Termination, cable routing and cable tray installation.
• Inspection of Electrical equipment function test and Illumination level testing of lighting system.
• Testing of cable by megger and HI – POT test.
• Cable Design LV, MV, HV and control cable.
• Installation of building fire alarm system.
• Witness for pre-commissioning of motor solo run activities.

My Roles and Responsibilities as an Internee Engineer:

• Successful completion of 04 weeks’ internship Training in Electrical Maintenance Block-I at Power complex. In which I theoretical work on 132/220KV Switch-Yard and WAPDA Feeders, steam turbines, Steam cycle in KAPCO.
• Worked on steam turbine9-10, condensate, feed water, Steam cycle in KAPCO, On FOTP1, 5, 3, 4 HSD 1, 2, 3, 4 IN KAPCO, On GAS Turbine Model Unit 1&2, Company SEMENS (Germany), Model V_94.2, Capacity 135MW in KAPCO.On transformers and work on their testing (by megger), on tap changer, and on all parts of transformers in KAPCO.. On Batteries (charge time, discharge time, gravity level check by hydrometer). Knowledge of TBT, General Safety and safety from system, Environment, First aid and firefighting.
