Kanisha L. Lee

Currently employed at The Cheesecake Factory in Arlington, VA. As one of the senior servers, I am responsible for ensuring that each of my tables are greeted and taken care of with the highest level of service from the door to the bill. In my current role I am responsible for training and assisting new employees to meet service standards, and ensure that all side work is completed and closing reports are accurate prior to cash out for each server. Additionally, I am an active food runner who ensures guest not only have their dish, but nothing extra is requested of them while servers tend to their other tables. In my current role, I have had tables as small as 1 guest, up to parties of 35 people while ensuring each guests receives the same level of service and attention to detail.

At the Hard Rock Cafe I was responsible for providing a high energy dining experience to guests. Our mission statement was "do well by doing good" and my responsibility was to exemplify that through my service. My primary function as a server here was to ensure guest were not just having a good meal, but having a good time. We were encouraged to spend more time at our tables as long as it was non intrusive, and get to know them as well as laugh with them to create repeat business, and guest loyalty. WIth over 20 beers on tap, it was critical I memorized the beer menu and was able to speak to different types of beer to meet the pallette of each of my guests.
