Accomplishments

Eagle Scout award

Leading up to my final Eagle Scout ward, I had to complete many things such as obtaining a certain amount of merit badges and also get a certain amount of hours camping with fellow scouts. Among my

required merit badges, I received citizenship in the community, nation, and world and also obtained the communication badge. My project was a blood/food drive that I had to organize (along with some

help from my family and friends) and make sure it ran smoothly.

2-Year Church service mission

I served a two year mission for my church in the country of Portugal. Dedicating two years to helping others learn about Christ was one of the hardest things I had to do. Two years away from friends and family in a different country, learning a different language pushed me to adapt to hard situations and strengthened my work ethic.

Affiliations

  • Leader of the Priest Quorum Youth Group
  • January 2019 to Present
  • I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and took the responsibility of being the first assistant to the bishop of the Priest Quorum two years ago when I moved up from being a member of the Teachers Quorum. Being a leader, and having a "youth-led" quorum, I have experience delegating and reaching out to less active members.
  • JV Blue Volleyball Team Captain
  • March 2019 to May 2019
  • I've been playing volleyball for over six years now and got the opportunity to be the team captain of the JV volleyball team. Aside from being somewhat skillful in the sport I play, I am also very encouraging of others and try to make sure everyone progresses as a team in getting better. The role of being the team captain is not only being the one to lead the team to victory but to make sure everyone is successful in achieving their own goals. That year, we ended up winning the ILH championship for the junior varsity division and there was significant growth in every member of the team.
