Perform skilled nursing facility medical rounds on geriatric patients and take overnight call part-time.

Responsibilities include daily hospital rounds providing care to both general cardiology and electrophysiology patients. Expertise includes providing care to structural valve patients and patient's with permanent pacemakers and implantable defibrillators.

From 11/2013 until 9/2015, worked part-time on the weekends for HMC as a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner at a LTAC facility, Kindred Hospital. Provided internal medicine services to acutely ill patients that required a higher level of care, ie. vent/pulmonary management.

Currently provide overnight on-call services for skilled nursing facilities in Indianapolis for HMC.

Provided perioperative assessment/consultation and post-operative hospitalist management to total joint and spine surgical patients. Responsibilities also included coordinating physician and advanced providers’ schedules for the hospitalist team.

Provided perioperative assessment/consultation and post-operative hospitalist management for inpatient surgical patients at Ortho Indy. I created the hospitalist program at Ortho Indy. Worked under the direction of Dr. James Pike, pulmonologist. During my work experience with Dr. Pike, I also had the privilege of working in the ICU setting at St. Vincent Carmel and at Kindred Hospital. Gained pulmonary expertise in both the ICU and by providing outpatient pulmonary services in Dr. Pike's pulmonary clinic.

Employed as a Nurse Practitioner for a large cardiology group, The Care Group, at Methodist Hospital. Provided inpatient cardiac care to patients with various cardiac issues including atrial fib, CHF, postoperative cardiac issues, acute MI. Also, provided inpatient cardiology preoperative consultations.

Responsibilities include daily hospital patient rounds providing complete acute care of both medical-surgical patients and critical care patients autonomously. Collaborates with supervising physician when needed.
