Activities
Currently volunteering with Circles U.S.A. as the Big View Team coordinator. This organization connects families working to move out of poverty with middle-income and high-income volunteers who support and encourage them. The Big View Team works with community and state leaders to enact systemic change by addressing issues such as affordable housing, childcare, transportation, access to healthcare and mental healthcare, financial literacy, and quality jobs.
Collaborated with Dr. Diane Vroenen and the Southern Utah Neurosciences Institute to develop the first outpatient support group for both survivors of traumatic brain injury and their caregivers.
During paramedic school, completed 4,000-5,000 patient care hours in a variety of settings in inner city Las Vegas, NV. This led to further opportunities to volunteer with medical professionals at a women and children’s shelter.
Volunteered in 2009-2010 with the Wounded Warrior Project providing medical support for wounded veterans participating in various athletic competitions throughout the state of Utah.
An avid back country backpacker, hiker, and camper.
